Mental Health First Aid Training for CHWs

The Community Health Center Association of CT (CHCACT) will be holding a Mental Health Frist Aid Training for Community Health Workers at Federally Qualified Health Centers in the state.
During the training participants will develop a basic understanding of what mental illnesses (including; depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, psychosis and substance use disorders) are, how mental health challenges can affect a person’s daily life and the types of support available to help struggling individuals live happy, healthy lives.
