Community Health Worker Core Competency Training Course

Southwestern AHEC is hosting a 9-week, 80-hour CHW Core Competency Certificate Course. The program includes: 8-hour Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training by Health 360, 8-hour Motivational Interviewing (MI) Training, and and 8-hour job shadowing opportunity. Dates: Nov: 1, 8, 14, 20, 29; Dec: 5, 6, 12, 19, (12/20 make-up if needed).
This session offers a fun and engaging learning environment with real case discussions, role playing, and exercises designed to build CHW knowledge, skills and abilities when working with individuals and communities in all settings. Includes options for Mental Health First Aid, Motivational Interviewing and Job Shadowing.
